Silver Style

Unstoppable Silver Style

A tray is much like an area rug, it defines a space, while showcasing your favorite items. It anchors smaller accessories, so that they will not merely float around in a huge room! I couldn't resist putting the top picture on this page, it's so elegant. So classic. I think even the Contemporary/Mod movement, that designers are leaning towards, have incorporated "mother's old silver" into rooms. Recently, I went to New Orleans, while there, I noticed that the city has an unstoppable style to it. The city is far from trendy/somehow not dated at all, they weave in a nice mix of old and new....and do it, quite tastefully, I might add! In these tough economic times, money won't allow us to start all over with a sort of "rooms to go" spending spree. It's time to pull out the old, and purchase the timeless and classics that are out there-looks that are here to stay, looks that are not "disposable". This silver footed tray is nothing short of a future heirloom! It's not only a great wedding gift it's a timeless piece that will not end up in your child's garage sale in the next 25 years! Today is a new day, our lives are busy, company drops in unannounced. Don't be like your mother, and only pull out the silver when company is coming over....Place this on your side board, with your decanters, your crystal, your Juliska, today....Show your unstoppable style!,

you have only 7 days to receive 10% off of this fabulous piece! stop by Place Setting on July 8th-July 15th 2009 and receive 10% off the tray when you show them a copy of this blog!2

"THE MAURA PETERS CANDLE IS A LABOR OF LOVE. THE CANDLES ARE BLENDED AND HAND POURED INTO BLOWN GLASS VASES IN HER STUDIO. THE BURN POOL IS LARGE AND EVEN, THE WAX BURNS CLEANLY, AND THE BLOWN GLASS VASES ARE INTENDED TO BE KEPT AND ENJOYED. ONCE YOU HAVE BURNED THROUGH YOUR CANDLE, SIMPLY PLACE THE VASE IN THE FREEZER. ONCE IT IS COLD ENOUGH, THE WAX WILL RELEASE FROM THE GLASS. CLEAN THE VASE WITH DISH SOAP AND ENJOY AS YOU LIKE... PEONIES ARE NICE"-Maura Peters

Basic Bowl

LISTEN UP YOUNG BRIDES......I've only been married for 10 years, and I regret so much taking back some of the useful items I got as a young 23 yr old bride! STUPID STUPID..should have listened to my mom! Oh, how I need more than 2 items like this! I cant tell you how many times, I have needed some very basic essential items for entertaining, only to show up short when I look for these items in my cupboard. I thought that if I couldn't put it out, show it off, or decorate with it I didn't need it. I thought if I had received one bowl, that I didn't need 2. I thought that everything had to match in categories (pottery, Annie Glass, Crystal or Silver) ....And stupid me, thought that I was gonna live in that tiny house forever. Well, turns out, that some of my most favorite wedding gifts are items that are just basic. Basic enough to match a friends' decor if I needed to bring something to a pot-luck dinner. They would be something I could dress up or dress down. Throw a fruit salad in this, use it for a dip, or chips....or make banana pudding in it. Its' like owning a basic black dress..you WILL NEED IT AND IT WILL never let you down.

Need a wedding gift for a bride that you are not sure of her taste? How classic is this bowl? AND... the best part is it is only $38.00.

Print a copy of this post, bring into PlaceSetting and receive 10% off this bowl from June 18th-June 25th 2009
